MOUNTAIN SONG AT SEA

Jun 3, 2013

In the depths of winter, during the cold and dreary early months of 2013, a festival will occur unique from all other festivals, featuring some of the biggest players in the bluegrass world, from seasoned legends to rising stars.  And the best part??

ITā€™S ON A BOAT.

HEADED TO THE BAHAMAS.

AND THE SITCH IS TOTALLY ON BOARD.

Thatā€™s right.  For three days, weā€™re joining the likes of The Steep Canyon Rangers, Del McCoury Band, Punch Brothers, Tim Oā€™Brien, Bryan Sutton, Della Mae, Peter Rowan plus a whole host of other talent, along with a few thousand of our closest friends and fans.

And we really want you to be there too!  From February 1-4, weā€™ll be on board the MOUNTAIN SONG AT SEA Cruise, which sails from Miami to Norwegian Cruise Lineā€™s private island of Great Stirrup Cay.

Seriously guys. How can you not want to hang out here??

On board, guests are treated to intimate performances from over fifteen of our favorite bluegrass and acoustic artists. (a full listing of the bands is below).  And not only do guests get to see their favorite bands, but they get the unique experience of hanging out and interacting with them too.  Activities like a poker tournament with Mike and Nicky of the Steep Canyon Rangers, or beer tasting with Rob McCoury of The Travelinā€™ McCourys and Graham Sharp of the Steeps, banjo workshops with Deering Banjos, multiple all-hour jam rooms, and even special events like Trivia Night and a very special workshop with some of the Sitch staff are just a few of the things already on the lineup.

Cabins start at just $400 per person (!) and can be booked via the Sixthman Cruise website.

Weā€™ll be providing you with exclusive cruise interviews, features, and other fun stuff in the months before we set sail, as well as updates from on board, so that even if you canā€™t make it this year, you can anticipate what surely lies ahead for a great new annual addition to the festival calendar.

ALL ABOARD!
