BGS is proud to once again partner with our friends at WinterWonderGrass to bring you exquisite, intimate live sessions captured at WinterWonderGrass Steamboat earlier this year. Filmed by Far From Near Productions at the Steamboat Art Museum in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, we’re calling the series WinterWonderGrass In The Round. Artists and bands from the WWG lineup perform in casual and cozy jam circles – unplugged, acoustic, and unadorned – inside the museum, surrounded on all sides by adoring fans, festival-goers decked out in their toques, scarves, and snow clothes.

Our first WinterWonderGrass In The Round videos featured fast-rising festival favorite Clay Street Unit. To continue the series, we thoroughly enjoyed music from our current BGS Artist of the Month, Bronwyn, which was followed by a very cool guitar-and-banjo collaboration with Tyler Grant and Billy Failing.

Next up is a special session from AJ Lee, a multi-instrumentalist and bandleader of AJ Lee & Blue Summit. As you’ll see, she is equally engaging as a solo performer. After an opening performance of a breakup/relationship song called “To Mine” on mandolin, she sings one of her favorite Emmylou Harris compositions, “Red Dirt Girl.” The latter song is a highlight of AJ Lee & Blue Summit’s Cover to Cover, a new album that captures the band’s wide-ranging taste in music, with renditions of hits by Sheryl Crow, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and more.

Concluding the set, AJ switches to acoustic guitar for an original song called “I Still Think of Her.” It shares a tender message that explores the thoughts of a woman missing another woman. You can look for the studio version of “I Still Think of Her” on AJ Lee & Blue Summit’s notable 2024 album, City of Glass.
