LISTEN: The Mallett Brothers Band, 'Too Much Trouble'

Artist: The Mallett Brothers Band
Hometown: Portland, ME
Song: “Too Much Trouble”
Album: Vive L’Acadie!
Release Date: June 15, 2018

In Their Words: “You know, I think this song is about self-reflection and moderation and the intersection of the personal and the political, but I don’t know. It was written in the early days of the current shit-storm, with national divisiveness reaching peak heights, a heroin epidemic killing a lot of fine men and women — particularly in rural, economically depressed parts of the country — global catastrophe after global catastrophe, and so on and so forth. You can read it as a picture of a city or a town, or as an allegory for the state of our civilization, but mostly I think it’s just an attempt to send some empathy out into the world.” — Will Mallett
