When you’re looking for an acoustic groove, look no further than Slap Dragon. Bandmates Scott Mulvahill (bassist and songwriter) and Laura Berens (vocalist and songwriter) bring all the vibes to this Sitch Session filmed in Rancho J Studios in Burbank, California.
Scott and Laura met at a birthday party, decided to get together to play music, and then wrote five songs in an afternoon. It wasn’t long before their compositions evolved into a joyful sound they like to call “groove grass.”
In other words, you could say Slap Dragon taps into a little of this and a little of that, an approach that mirrors the title of “Girl Dinner.” (Hey, who doesn’t love snacks?) In short order, the band has already landed a gig at Bonnaroo, surpassed 90,000 followers on Instagram, and just released their imaginative debut album, Mission Statement. Don’t miss these Sitch Sessions with Slap Dragon featuring “Girl Dinner.”
