As the days grow shorter and the weather colder, the season of the witch approaches. Whether you call it autumn, or Halloween, or Samhain, this time of year evokes a need to come together, light a candle to ward of the returning dark, put on a favorite sweater to protect against the chill, and sing the songs of ancestors passed while the veil is at its thinnest.
In honor of the season, and inspired by the music of the most mystical Canadian songstress Loreena McKennitt (whose now-classic album The Mask and the Mirror celebrates 30 years with a special edition physical release this month), we bring your our hand-curated Folky Witchy Playlist, the perfect accompaniment for lighting the fire and steeping your tea this Halloween.
