Oh Friday. Thank goodness you’re here! It’s been a long (but equally awesome) week here at Bluegrass Situation headquarters, and we have some REALLY BIG announcements coming up that we’re REALLY EXCITED to share BUT….
….we can’t quite tell you yet.
In the interim, here are a few links to keep you occupied until we can make the big announcement(s).
• A brand new song from The SteelDrivers, whose new album Hammer Down comes out early next year (with liner notes written by Engine145 and Sitch contributor Juli Thanki!) (via NPR Music)
• Were any of you lucky enough to attend one of the sold-out Mumford & Sons shows at the Hollywood Bowl? Even if you weren’t there, check out this sweet limited edition merch (personally, I want the poster set).
• Speaking of Mumford…. the doc in which they were featured, The Big Easy Express, is currently $9 for a BluRay/DVD set via Living Social. That’s cheaper than it was to see in theatres…
• After a triumphant year and a recent Americana Music Awards win, does this spell the end of The Civil Wars???
• If you weren’t able to personally make it to the Ryman in Nashville for the AMA Awards in September, it just aired on PBS and you can catch highlights here.
