If there’s one thing I love it’s good music. And if there’s another thing I love it’s local talent. Fortunately, our good friends THE DUSTBOWL REVIVAL have managed to master the two, and recently stopped by Venice’s own Jam in the Van for a (very impressive) performance of the classic Shine… take a gander why don’t you? (and seriously, I dare you not to smile while this song is playing…. go ahead…. try it. See? It’s infectious.)
Now before any of you get on my case about how this isn’t bluegrass, I’d like to point out that depite the name, this site runs the gamut, and I am all about promoting and publishing everything from the most traditional bluegrass out there (such as our upcoming Monthly Jam Report) to more progressive and different sounds. If it’s out there, I’m going to at least present the case (and it’s okay if you don’t like it).
It’s my hope that together we can discover some great new sounds and songs, connect with other fans at shows and festivals, and celebrate some really fantastic musical talent. There is so much out there, readers. Let’s keep exploring.
