In Their Words: “I wrote ‘Damn Thing’ with my friend Brandy Zdan. Brandy is a talented singer-songwriter and guitarist living here in Nashville. Co-writing generally makes me very anxious but with Brandy it was relaxed and fun. I smoked an enormous joint and we wrote a song. It was what I would consider ‘a good day.’ To me the song is about the vulnerability it takes to be yourself and learning to be comfortable in your own skin.
