In Their Words: “‘My Home Is’ is basically an apology to my son. I’m not even sure that he was aware of what was going on or why. He’s been around my ‘music career’ all of his life. It was just something Dad did. Maybe I just felt guilty the night I wrote it, in a hotel room, on the road. I’m so passionate about what I do, I sometimes forget what’s really important. This song was more for me I think. I wanted to let him know that even though music has consumed most of my life, he’s still the most important thing to me…. With that being said though, I wouldn’t change a thing. I think you have to stay focused on the goal in order achieve success….
