In Their Words: “‘Edge of my Seat’ is a reflection on my personal struggles with anxiety. It’s one of those songs that kind of just wrote itself, and I didn’t know where it was going to lead me, or if I was leading it. I’ve been living with anxiety ever since I was young and recently started being more proactive in addressing it… part of that was looking for some hidden messages in my dreams, and really just reaching a new awareness of what is below the surface of my consciousness. I know I’m definitely not alone in 2021 in sharing about my own mental health challenges. We are all moving through this unprecedented time together and my hope is that this song can be a balm to others also experiencing a heightened sense of anxiety, that it can serve as a reminder that you’re not alone.
