WATCH: The Lark and the Loon, ‘Up on a Cloud’

Artist: The Lark and the Loon
Hometown: Eureka Springs, AR
Song: "Up on a Cloud"
Album: Songbirds and Fog

In Their Words: "'Up on a Cloud' is about that moment someone strikes you and you feel the need to connect. Of course, sometimes, that moment doesn’t come at a convenient time, and your desires can make you feel worlds away from one another. Longing doesn't always have to be a tragic thing, though. We've found it often gives us something to look forward to.

Living without stable internet in our cabin-style home, we’ve become more reliant on our record player than ever before. Digging through some old records, we started to notice the quirky nature of jazz duets sung by Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and the like. It’s probably safe to say the quirky nature has influenced us quite a bit — at least on this song — and our overlapping harmony parts have become a signature sound and style of our writing. Coupled with Peter Steineck's creative animation, our music and his visuals create a world of their own. Wistful and sentimental, the video creates a recollection of our influential icons." — Jeff Rolfzen and Rocky Steen-Rolfzen

WATCH: The Felice Brothers, ‘Plunder’

Artist: The Felice Brothers
Hometown: Catskills, NY
Song: "Plunder"
Album: Life in the Dark
Release Date: June 24
Label: Yep Roc Records

In Their Words: "The video is a psychedelic trip down the cartoon rabbit hole, when four school kids' wish to be truly free of rules is granted. They find themselves reborn as pirates and drunk pigs as the song spins a yarn about mischievous dogs and roller rink crushes. Our heroes venture further into the animated mud as they make their final transformation into great business men, free of regulation and celebrating in True Corporate Greed … pirates, alas! Guitar-playing cats and hordes of sneaky pianist mice make cameos, obviously. This video pairs well with a Capri Sun." — Josh Rawson
