In Their Words: "'Swimming Song' is a really fun summer song I have always loved — at once wistful and joyful at what's come and gone. Summer always goes by too quickly, as does time in general. It was recorded at the Carriage House with Sheldon Gomberg (Ben Harper, Rickie Lee Jones, Ron Sexsmith), features background vocals by Leslie Stevens and Kathleen Grace, and an amazing band which played live. The video was really fun to compile, as well, looking through old footage and creating a whole story from it."
