In Their Words: “Phases and Stages is one of my all-time favorite albums that my dad recorded. There’s not a song on it that I couldn’t listen to over and over and never get tired of hearing. However, ‘Pretend I Never Happened’ has always been my favorite. Everything about the song including the melody, the lyrics and the way the song was originally put together make me feel when I listen is not only timeless but downright perfection. With all that said, I hope that I was able to make my dad proud of this cover of his song. I know that I am so very proud of how it turned out. And to have him playing and singing on this recording made this song even more special to me.
