In Their Words: “At its core, āRide This Trainā is about never giving up on your dreams. We all get disheartened, and certainly on my journey in music, Iāve had times when I felt like giving up. I wrote this song as a reminder and an affirmation — ‘Iām gonna ride this train all the way to the end and when it stops Iām gonna start all over again!’ My dreams have taken me from my hometown in New Orleans to New York City, and on to London where I live now. Iāve been ‘riding trains’ and chasing dreams for a long time! Itās my love of music that has carried me through. Itās my calling. And I believe that we owe it to ourselves to follow our calling.
