In Their Words: "The 'Dude Ranch,' as we affectionately call it, has been the setting for Paper Bird's creative processes, as well as a sanctuary for all the creatives in our circle. It's been the site of ceremony (Paul was married there), raging shows where bands from our community have shared their work, communal feasts and fires where we've set goals for our careers together, a space to record, and to shoot film and create artwork. Paper Bird developed this record here, on site. Whether it was through hashing out demos together in the studio or through rehearsal, or as Paul received long-distance demos from me in Canada or L.A. as he sat out on the deck attempting to find a good wifi signal.
'I Don't Mind' was a song comprised of pieces of multiple songs that came together in many iterations as we worked on material at the ranch. It feels fitting to debut this live version recorded at the heart of where our inspiration springs from." — Carleigh Aikins
