In Their Words: "I think, as a songwriter, you're always hoping you might write something that has a chance of outlasting you — a song that people might turn on and listen to years after you're gone. 'Country Roads' is one of those songs. Living in Los Angeles for the past four years and traveling across the U.S. from New York to Seattle, I think my brother and I relate to the song in a very genuine way. There's something about the Midwest and the wide open country where we are from that nothing can really replace. We kind of thought of this video as a love letter to our family and the Midwest.
