One of us would grab our dog Roadie; the other, our guitars.
If you weren't a musician, what would you be?
Miranda: I've been most of the other things I wanted to be: a curriculum writer, summer camp director, food trailer owner, non-profit organizer. I hope still to try my hand at being a novelist and a painter.
Chris: If I wasn't performing, I'd still be an avid music fan and probably focus on my visual arts or something mechanical.
How many unread emails or texts currently fill your inbox?
Miranda: Several. I prefer face-to-face communication. FaceTime me!
Chris: They're all read. The little red number badge makes me antsy!
What is the one thing you can’t survive without on tour?
Miranda: GPS. How did anyone get anywhere on time while on tour without a wrong-turn-correcting GPS?
Chris: A real meal! A good break from convenience store snacks, once a day, and all is right.
If you had to get a tattoo of someone's face, who would it be?
Miranda: I'd choose my old dog Amos who we lost a few years ago, because the memory of his face reminds me of pure love and to share it loyally.
Chris: If not Miranda, maybe Bob Ross. That guy knew how to make the clouds and trees happy … solid reminder of how to take in the world.
Who is your favorite superhero?
Miranda: I think ER nurses are modern-day superheroes.
Chris: Well, now I feel silly about saying it, but Wolverine. Being able to heal quickly … that would make extreme sports more fun. Since that's a fantasy, I'm thankful for ER nurses!
The Simpsons or South Park?
Miranda: Neither? Adventure Time.
Chris: Ooo, I agree with Adventure Time. The Simpsons, as a kid, and South Park more these days. Both are hilarious and strangely mind opening.
Dolly or Loretta?
Miranda: LORETTA. I know every one of her songs by heart.
Chris: Loretta just tells you how it is. She's fantastic.
Meat lover's or veggie?
Miranda: Veggie! Anything with mushrooms I love.
Chris: Lots of veggies with meat. I get excited over quality food, in general.
