Part of the song’s journey is stopping and really appreciating the things that you have right in front of you, like your family and close friends, or possibly your current situation, even if it’s faced with challenges. The other side of ‘Fool’s Gold’ is about taking risks, even when you don’t know exactly where you’re going. In life, I can be very specific and sometimes proceeding too carefully where roadblocks such as anxiety can scare me out of doing things, especially if I’m not clear on every last detail.
