In Their Words: “‘Out My Window’ started as a ditty we played during a soundcheck at a show in Eugene, Oregon, during a winter tour in 2016. We played around with it for a few minutes and said, “Damn, that could be a song!” Later on, I wrote some lyrics one morning in my bedroom when I was living in Berkeley, California. It was cold, and a train was whistling somewhere out my window. In the studio, we had fun building the song up with piano and some organs.β — Simon Linsteadt
