In Their Words: “One of my favorite views in the Nashville area is from the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge, which stretches over a breathtaking valley called Birdsong Hollow. Many summer evenings I’ve parked in the lot on the north side of the bridge, stepped out of the car, and braved my fear of heights. It’s always a little busy — pockets of flowy dresses and duck faces and drones. But amidst the eager influencers and nature enthusiasts hangs a heaviness; there’s a sign on either side of the bridge that reads ‘There is still hope. Call anytime.’ It haunted me.
