In Their Words: “‘How Low’ is a cover of a solo artist named José Gonzalez. He describes the song as being about ‘mindless consumerism.’ I fell in love with the vibe this song encompasses and had a vision to see what it would be like to produce the song as a bluegrass-type ensemble piece. I brought in a couple of special guests for this one — Bonnie Sims of Taylor and Sims, Everybody Loves An Outlaw, and Big Richard is my singing partner (and she tears it up!) I also had Ryan Cavanaugh guest on banjo. I hope you dig it!” – Jeremy Garrett

WATCH: Slow Hands, ‘I’ll Find Me’

Artist: Slow Hands (aka Ryan Cavanaugh)
Hometown: Vermont by way of Brooklyn
Song: "I'll FInd Me" (Live with Gold Town)
Album: I'll Find Me (Remixes)
Release Date: October 9
Label: Wolf + Lamb Records

In Their Words: "I moved to New York City to be a DJ and house producer — a career choice that has gone the way of the UGG boot, in recent years. And, as this shift started to occur, I found myself going back to the musical roots of my Vermont upbringing — an upbringing steeped in what I refer to as 'organic music' (free range music? hormone-free music?) and, most importantly, the bluegrass that my childhood friends still play every weekend.

I have known William Seeders Moshiem since I was six years old, so it seemed only appropriate that I call upon him, AJ, Josh, and Shay (Gold Town), and enlist the help of longtime collaborators Dave Robertson and Nico Dalagelis to help sculpt the title song from my album, I’ll Find Me, into a version that reminded me of the place that I was raised.

Shot by another childhood friend, Duncan Lake, in a renovated sugar house in Tinmouth, VT, the day was fueled by a lot of our dear friend Chris's moonshine, Vermont beer, and breaks to have our other friend Ben guide the non-natives through shooting skeet and eating cured meats. You could say it was a Vermont family affair. A perfect day!" — Ryan Cavanaugh
